Ginkgo, Bai Guo Ren (Ginkgo Biloba) is a deciduous tree. Ginkgo prefers valleys, crevices between rocks and the lower parts of mountain slopes. It settles on limestone outcrops, survives on thin soils. The altitude range in the mountains is 500-1500 m. The tree reaches a height of up to 40 m and has a trunk with a diameter of up to 4.5 m. The crown is initially pyramidal, grows with age. Typically, trees have a well-developed root system, are resistant to strong winds and snow drifts. Some trees reach the age of 2500 years. In autumn, the leaves turn yellow and quickly fall off.
